Pulau Besar is a very nice place to chill in Johor.

There are 3 ways to get into Pulau Besar Jetty: Bus, Car and Flight.
1. Bus
Bus is the most popular way to get to Pulau Besar.
The arriving bus stop is Mersing Bus Terminal or Mersing Jetty.
Walking distance between bus terminal and jetty is 10 minutes.
Duration
If from KL to Mersing Jetty, it takes 4-5 hours.
If depart from Singapore, it takes 3.5 hours.

2. Car
You can drive yourself to Pulau Besar if you are travelling with family and friends.
You could stop by some attraction spots along the road trip to Pualu Besar.
There are purchased parking lots at jetty, which cost RM 18 per day.
Duration
If from KL, the duration takes 4 hours.
If within Johor, the duration is less than 2 hours.
If from Singapore, it takes 3 hours.

3. Flight
Pulau Besar’s nearest airport is Senai airport. The code of it is JHB.
After flight’s arrival you need to take taxi to Mersing Jetty.
Duration
Approximately 55 minutes from KUL to JHB.
It’s very far from Senai airport to jetty, the duration takes around 2 hours.
So it’s not very recommended to get to Pulau Besar by flight.

Bus and self-driving are two popular ways to get to Pulau Besar.
If you want a budgeted trip to Pulau Besar, getting there by Bus is the best for you.
If you want a flexible transporting schedule, you can arrange driving to Pulau Besar yourself.
Flight is another way, but jetty of Pulau Besar is far from the airport. So it’s not much recommended.
