One is Langkawi Kuah Jetty in Malaysia, and the other one is Pakbara Jetty in Thailand.

Pakbara Jetty to Koh Lipe
From Pakbara Jetty it takes about 1.30 hour by speedboat
The speedboat goes directly to Koh Lipe Island Beach.
Pakbara Jetty Boat Schedule
Usually there is only one boat each day in Pakbara Jetty .
The boat departs from Pakbara Jetty at 11:30am (local time) to enter Koh Lipe ;
and exits Koh Lipe at 9:30am (local time).
Pakbara Jetty Opening Period
This jetty opens all year round. There are boat entering Koh Lipe Island every day.
So if you are tavelling to Koh Lipe from June to October, Pakbara Jetty is the only jetty you can only depart from, since the other jetty (Kuah Jetty) is closed.

Transport to Pakbara Jetty
1) Flight
If you are traveling to Pakbara Jetty from Malaysia, you can take Flight.
The name of the arrival airport is Hat Yai International Airport (HDY).
After arriving at the airport, you need to transfer to Pakbara Jetty. It takes approximately 1.5 hours by car.
It’s best if you take the earliest flight time to Hat Yai International Airport (HDY)and arrive before 11 am to catch the speedboat in Pakbara Jetty.

2) Bus
You need to buy a bus ticket to Hat Yai , then transfer from Hat Yai Town to Pakbara Jetty by car.
The journey takes about 2 hours from Hatyai town to Pakbara Jetty.
Usually tourists take bus depart the night before and arrive in Thailand early the next morning.

3) Car
The journey time from Kuala Lumpur to Pakbara Jetty is approximately 7 hours.
There are many parking spaces at the jetty, and the daily parking fee is about 150THB.
Before reaching Pakbara Jetty, you need to cross the Thai border, so remember to prepare relevant documents.

4) Train
Have you ever travel to Thailand by Train?
It’s a fresh experience to travel to Thailand by train.
From KL Sentral to Padang Besar, the fare for one way train ticket is about RM 80 per person, the duration is Approximately 6 hours.
Now it is quite convenient to book a train ticket online.
After arrive at Padang Besar, you need to arrange transportation to the jetty. From Padang Besar to Pakbara Jetty, It takes about 3 hours by taxi or grab.
The boat time is at 11am, you can have breakfast before entering Koh Lipe Island.
The suggested train time is:
First day depart KL Sentral at 10.50PM and reach Padang Besar 4.40AM.
The last day depart Padang Besar 3.55 PM and reach at KL Sentral 9.50 PM.

5) Travel in Hat Yai
Hat Yai is definitely a place worth visiting.
You could travel in Hat Yai for 2-3 days before or after visiting Koh Lipe island.
There are many beautiful hotels and resorts in Hat Yai Town.
You can book a local tour.
Hat Yai is a big city, so a local guide can take you around, show the best spots for food, drinks, massages and tell you the history of the places.
